ImPact Testing is a mandatory, precautionary step we take to ensure the health and well-being of Spartan Athletes. Every two years, Spartan athletes will be tested to ensure current data is on file.
ImPact Testing is a precautionary measure that allows our athletic trainer to gather a baseline set of data regarding each student's brain activity. If there is ever a head injury, our athletic trainer, along with a family physician, would be able to compare the brain activity from the baseline assessment to the current brain activity, post head injury.
ImPact Testing is a requirement at STHS. Our athletic trainer will set up dates and locations for students to spend about 30 minutes taking their baseline test. At STHS, all incoming athletes in 9th and 11th grade will be baseline tested. Additionally, any student in 10th or 12th grade that has transferred in to STHS will be tested, as well.
