Mrs. Sara Hughes

Sara Z.E. Hughes has lived in Springfield Township since 2013 and is a parent to an elementary school student. She is a small business owner and together with her husband Gralin co-owns Multiverse, selling books, comics and games. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur in late 2023, she worked for over 20 years in the nonprofit sector in Philadelphia, most recently as Chief Operations Officer at BlackStar Projects, an organization that uplifts the work of Black, Brown and Indigenous artists. Her previous positions have included working as the Program Director at the Leeway Foundation, a Social Media Specialist at the American Friends Service Committee and as the Communications and Development Director at Bread & Roses Community Fund. She has a BA in Media Studies and an MFA in Film and Media Arts both from Temple University as well as certificates in Nonprofit Executive Leadership and as a Fundraising Professional.
