Internet Essentials from Xfinity
Xfinity provides low-cost Internet access to qualifying families under the Internet Essentials program.
Xfinity is significantly expanding eligibility for Internet Essentials, which is the nation’s largest, most comprehensive, and most successful broadband adoption program in America, to include all qualified low-income households in its service area. The expansion is the most significant change in the program’s history. The Company estimates that more than three million additional low-income households, including households with people with disabilities, are now eligible to apply.
You can sign up and find more information by visiting the Internet Essentials page by Xfinity.
There are also many local free public wifi hotspots. | |

Global Communications
The School District of Springfield Township uses School Messenger as our automated phone call and email distribution for parents. This is our way to communicate events going on in the district, and weather related events.
If you're not getting e-blasts, please log into PowerSchool Parent Portal and verify your email address. Once verified, please check your SPAM folder. If they are not in your SPAM folder, please contact your building secretary.
If you are getting the phone calls on the wrong number, please log into PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please make sure that both guardians have the correct phone number listed.
If you do not have a home phone, please log into PowerSchool Parent Portal and make any corrections there. This does not necessarily need to be the home number. This can be any number you choose.
Those that are listed in PowerSchool Parent Portal as Guardians (2 guardians per student) will get the eblasts and automated calls. Depending on the type of broadcast that is performed, it may only go to the guardian listed first.
Unfortunately no. There is no sign up for the messaging system.
