Mrs. Alison Klein
Art
Greetings Springfield Township community,
I began my career at SDST teaching art at Erdenheim Elementary in grades K-4. I have proudly taught art at Enfield Elementary in grades K-1.
Previous to teaching at SDST, I have taught art/multimedia design/special education in a variety of different educational settings; such as the Bucks County IU, Pittsburgh Technical College, University of the Arts, and Drexel University. I have also enjoyed working outside the field of education as a web designer.
For the past five years, I have devoted myself to advancing my education in area of special education with a focus on autism. I am particularly interested how individuals on the autism spectrum can enhance their communication and social skills through the process of making art. In my spare time I enjoy making art (primarily landscape paintings and ceramics), spending time with my family, and enjoying nature.
In closing, I love to share the wonderful artwork of our young artists at Enfield! I also blog about particular art projects that we do in the classroom. Please feel free to connect with Enfield Art on Facebook at @paintdabsandsprinkles or at www.alisonklein.com
